Day 3: Bike tour through Havana

In the morning it’s time to saddle up for the first time. Get familiar with your bikes during a bike tour of Havana. The “city forest” around Parque Almendares as well as the villa district of Vedado and the Malecon are just some of the highlights of the almost 3-hour tour.

In the afternoon you will visit the colorful artist project “Callejón de Hamel” (Hamelgasse). The district of Cayo Hueso near the University of Havana is known for its crumbling house facades, which have not yet been fundamentally renovated despite the restoration projects that have started and then stopped over the past decade. But urban decay was put to a halt in one street: Here, the artist project started by Salvado González in 1990 successfully ended the decay and desolation. (Bike approx. 30 km | 3 hours | flat) um den Parque Almendares sowie das Villenviertel von Vedado und der Malecon sind nur einige Highlights der knapp 3-stündigen Tour.

With its red tile roofs, cobblestone streets, plazas and stairs, with the pastel-colored houses and historical museums, Trinidad is simply a must for those interested in history. In the afternoon you stroll with the tour guide along the cobblestone streets and across the idyllic main square Plaza Major, surrounded by the mansions of the sugar barons.
