At Havana Airport you will be greeted by your tour guide and taken to your colonial hotel in the old town. After a welcome cocktail at the hotel, move into your room.

In the morning you will be picked up at the hotel and take a historical walk through Havana Vieja. Be impressed by the UNESCO-protected center.
After lunch in a beautiful private restaurant, there will be a nostalgic city tour in classic vintage convertibles. at the Revolution Square “Plaza de la Revolución”, the diplomatic and villa district Miramar, the famous University of Havana and along Cuba’s most famous waterfront, the Malecon.

In the morning you visit the colorful artist project “Callejón de Hamel” (Hamelgasse) by the citizens of the Cayo Hueso district. This neighborhood near the University of Havana is known for its crumbling house facades, which have not yet been completely renovated. But urban decay was halted in one street: The district was transformed in a joint project with a lot of happiness, creativity and bright colors.
The afternoon is free to explore Cuba’s fascinating capital on your own.

You leave Havana and drive to the west of Cuba to the provincial capital Pinar del Río. Here you visit the local tobacco factory and learn a lot of interesting and fascinating things about Cuba’s most important export good. Then it goes to the destination Viñales for the day.
In the afternoon they visit the small town of Viñales for the avenTOURa-supported social project “Viva el Fútbol”, where children and young people are taught football. Hard to find anywhere else in Cuba. Dinner takes place in a beautiful local private restaurant (so-called paladar) in Viñales. Travel time: 3 hours.

Today you embark on a wonderful easy hike through the scenic Viñales Valley with its famous Mogotes rocks and tobacco fields as far as the eye can see. Afterwards you can expect a rustic country lunch with a wonderful view of the unmistakable nature of this region. In the afternoon you can choose between free time or a cave tour through the interesting cave complex of Cueva Santo Tomás.

After an early breakfast, you start your longer journey to today’s stage destination Cienfuegos. On the way you take a break in the small town of Soroa. During a visit to the largest orchid garden in the country, you will learn more about the local flora and fauna and you can stretch your legs on a small tour of part of the complex. After this interesting break, the journey to Cienfuegos, the so-called “Pearl of the South”, continues. After arrival in the afternoon you will visit the city, which lies in an imposing bay and which is known for its French colonial architecture. Travel time: 7 hours.

In the morning there is time for a final tour of Cienfuegos. B. the Palacio de Valle on the Punta Gorda peninsula, a Moorish style villa with history.

The short drive to Trinidad is then partly along the panoramic coastal road. The city, founded in 1513, reached its peak during the sugar boom in the 19th century and was among other things Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 due to its unique colonial architecture. Upon arrival, stroll with your guide along the cobblestone streets and across the idyllic main square, Plaza Major. Then enjoy today’s dinner in the beautiful ambience of one of the city’s paladars. In the evening you can experience the nightlife of Trinidad live in the Casa de la Música or in one of the many bars with Cuban rhythms and spirited dances (optional).

You start the day with a hike in the scenic Topes de Collantes Natural Park in the Sierra del Escambray. With a local guide you will explore the tropical mountains, partly in an off-road truck and while hiking, lunch included. Return to Trinidad in the afternoon and if there is time, your tour guide will take you to the nearby Ancon beach for a short swim.

On the longer journey from Trinidad to Camagüey, you first go through the famous valley of the sugar cane mills. Here you stop at the former estate of the Manaca Iznaca family and you can also climb the Iznaga tower, which was used to monitor the slaves on the sugar finca. You will spend your lunch break later in Sancti Spíritus, where you will visit the historic old town with the famous medieval bridge. In addition, there is often the opportunity to visit a local weekly market. Then continue to Camagüey, where you will take a short city walk after arrival in the afternoon and have dinner in a local restaurant. Travel time: 4.5 hours.

The small provincial capital Bayamo can be reached after about 4 hours drive, here you can take a city walk and learn a lot about the history of the revolution. Then you continue through the beautiful nature on the edge of the Sierra Maestra, where after about 2 hours you will reach the pilgrimage church Basílica del Cobre. The “Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre” was declared the Cuban patron saint by Pope Benedict XV in 1916 and is greatly venerated by a large part of the Cuban population. Short drive to Santiago de Cuba, the former capital of Cuba, where dinner awaits you upon arrival. Travel time: 6.5 hours.

Heute wartet eine spannende Stadtrundfahrt durch Santiago de Cuba auf Sie sowie die Besichtigung der berühmten Festung „Castillo del Morro“. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der Besuch des berühmten Friedhofs Cemeterio Santa Ifigenia, der 1937 zum Nationaldenkmal Kubas erklärt worden ist. Direkt in der Altstadt sehen Sie z.B. die Casa „Diego de Velazquez“, das älteste Haus Kubas. Vom Balkon des benachbarten Rathauses verkündete Fidel Castro 1959 den Sieg der Revolution. Wer am Abend noch Energie verspürt, kann optional in das kubanische Lebensgefühl bei feurigen Salsarhythmen im Patio de los Abuelos und der Casa de la Trova eintauchen.

In the morning you will visit the Moncada barracks before you leave for Baracoa, where you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the Cuban revolutionary history. Your journey then takes you past tropical vegetation, and later you come along the desert-like coastal landscape of Guantánamos over the famous Farola Pass to the somewhat dreamy-looking town of Baracoa. On the way you always stop to experience this desert-like landscape and the coastal road. Take a short city walk to get to know Baracoa in the late afternoon after your arrival. Travel time: 4.5 hours.

Today you will visit the former cocoa plantation Finca Duaba and learn everything there is to know about the cultivation and processing of cocoa beans. You will also take a short hike here. Afterwards, a boat tour awaits you over the Río Toa, Cuba’s most water-rich river. This excursion into the lush nature of this tropical region is rounded off with a cozy, rustic, Cuban lunch. In the evening a group farewell dinner awaits you in a local paladar in Baracoa.

The last stretch along the north coast to Guardalavaca is not the longest, but it is the most complex. Sometimes it only progresses at walking pace. You will arrive at your beach hotel in the late afternoon. From the moment you arrive at the hotel you can enjoy the all-inclusive service. Travel time: 7 hours.
